Website Creation

I've been working on the new Brie'Denee website...well turns out those aren't as easy and quick to develop as you might think at first. I started with a basic layout, with the one block. This was giving me all kinds of problems when I would try to change a block or add a column. Turns out, the layout templates are fantastic to help with this little problem. So I fixed that issue.

Sunshine on a Clear Day

I found a new favorite stone! This gemstone is called a Hemimorphite. It's one I found when visiting Texas and the Unconventional Labidarist. He had some beautiful cabochons and this is one of them.

For this stone, I decided to do a woven bezel wrap. For the bail, I continued the weave with some crystal accents and finished it off. However, there was still something missing. Hmmm...what could be missing. That's it! I needed some more color. Citrine on top added a beautiful sunshine glow atop a gorgeous gemstone.

Christmas Artisan Sale 2010

I love this time of year. It is when you can do things for family and get fabulous gifts for your loved ones. For crafters, its a time of year when they can make a gift or find something a friend has made to give to family members who will cherish the gift.

This year, a few of my crafty friends and I have decided to get together and host an Artisan Sale for the Holidays. We will be having various home goods, decorations and jewelry available. Stop by and visit us if you are in Kansas City! We can wait to see everyone!

Cabochons ready to be Wrapped

I love getting new beads and gemstones to work with! I have a handful of the most georgous gemstones from Unconventional Lapidarist, a company that creates designer cabochons with precious gemstones. I picked them up on a trip to Texas this summer. I fell in love with the baby blue glass cabs. I just had to have one. And of course, purple is my favorite color so I had to have a purple and black stripped cab as well. I picked up several more to add to my collection of stones so I have plenty to choose from.

I have several ideas of what to do with these beautiful gems but time seems to be short. After working all day, coming home and sometimes making dinner, there just aren't that many hours left in the day. But my ideas will continue to last. I just can't wait to do something with them!

Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my blog! I've never done one of these so everyone bear with me while I get into a groove. I'm not much of a writer, but I thought I'd give this a try.
