My Heart is Yours Bangle

This bangle came about as a Custom order for Cindi. She contacted me concerning my Woven Eros Passion Labdorite Bangle and asked if I could do a design without the main focal gemstone and just have the hearts. This is for her wedding in November. So I came up with a lacy design with hearts incorporated for her wedding day.

The back portion is scalloped lace wire with a bangle outline and a heart hook clasp. The heart focals have been woven and adorned with a large 10mm Coin pearl and two 8mm pearls in the center of each heart. Down the center of the bangle is a line of smaller 4.5mm freshwater pearls for an extra touch of elegance.

The bangle is 1 3/4 inch in width and at its smallest at 8 1/4 inch in length. It can extend up to 9 1/4 in length with the 3 clasp options.

I drew the design out for her first. It came out exactly like the original design!

Each piece of this glorious pendant was handmade solely with wire. There is no soldering in this piece. It is very delicate.

Lockets - A View to the Soul

Lockets. They're really something special. They hold loved ones close to your heart so you can keep them with you and look at them at any point in the day.

Once day while I was randomly searching Etsy, I came across a very neat design. I decided I had to give that a try myself and these are what I came up with:

Design based on Copper Wire Wrapped Locket Pendant Necklace by WiredElements

I was so inspired by my first locket that i just had to make a second immediately. This one has a Carnelian Gemstone Cabachon with Carnelian chips and Smoky Quartz rounds accenting the filigree swirls. This particular locket too over 6 hours to make from start to finish and I just adore it. I've got some more stones put together to make more!

Ready for Sugar Mound Arts and Crafts Festival!!!

This is one of my favorite festivals during one of my favorite times of the year! October 8th and 9th, just before Halloween and the Holiday Season. I love the festival foods of funnel cakes, candied apples, and homemade ice cream.

Artisans from around the United States gather for this festival. Begin your Holiday shopping for friends and family with all sorts of art and craft options. You can make your visit a day trip or a weekend event. Stay at various hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in the area or make it a weekend camping trip with a bit of shopping. Either way, it makes for a fun filled weekend with lots of sights to see with over 650 booths, 30 of which are food, and a Festival Parade on Main Street in Mound City.

For more information visit the Sugar Mound Arts and Crafts Website.

Booth Photos

These photos are from our booth at the Maker Faire at Union Station but they'll still help you find our booth at Sugar Mound. We'll have a canopy of course, but look for the purple. It's a favorite.

These were taken in the afternoon when the sun was coming through the windows. Makes for beautiful, if slightly fuzzy, photos where the jewelry just shines for those patrons stopping by.
